When I lived in Oakland, my roommates and I picked up a free Craigslist piano but soon realized we had no way to transport it up the tiny staircase to our second story apartment. So, the piano lived outside. At night, one of my favorite things to do was take my kitten outside to run amok while I played the piano when no one was around. It was a bit off-key yet totally beautiful instrument. This is a polaroid I took of one of my roomies playing the piano during the day.
